• Description: Provides investigation into code violations in the City of Chico. Common code violations include: -Accumulation of junk/trash/debris -Long-term storage of RV’s, trailers, boats on public property (streets, public rights-of-way) -Inoperable or abandoned vehicles on private property. Inoperable or abandoned vehicles on public property should be reported to the Chico Police Department. -Unauthorized materials in the public right-of-way -Zoning Violations -Trash can placement/inadequate garbage service -Sign Violations -Illegal Camping -Building/Construction Violations Code Enforcement also investigates complaints concerning substandard housing issues and works with the various property management companies and property owners to ensure that citizens of Chico live in a healthy and properly maintained environment.
